How does Nethaven connect to my bank accounts?

Accepted Answer

You sign in securely and Nethaven never sees or stores your banking username or password. The connection is read-only: we receive balances and transactions but cannot move money or make changes at your bank. Available banks depend on your region and our coverage.

Does Nethaven store my login credentials?

Accepted Answer

No. Bank sign-ins are handled through a secure connection, brokerage sign-ins by SnapTrade. Your institution passwords are never stored on Nethaven's servers. We only hold what's needed to keep your session signed in and receive account data, all encrypted in transit and at rest.

Do I need a subscription to use Nethaven?

Yes. Nethaven is a Pro product. You start with a free trial (where available) to try everything: bank sync, brokerage sync, budgets, net worth, portfolio, and household sharing. After the trial, you subscribe to Nethaven Pro to keep using the app. There's no limited free tier, so once the trial ends an active subscription is required.

Yes. You can add manual accounts, transactions, debts, savings goals, subscriptions, and portfolio assets yourself, and bank and brokerage sync are optional. Many users run a mix: connected accounts for cash flow, manual entries for property, vehicles, and other valuables that don't sync automatically.

Does Nethaven track net worth automatically?

Yes, for connected accounts. Bank, credit, and brokerage balances refresh automatically, and crypto updates from linked wallets and exchanges. Assets that can't connect (like a home or car) are added once and updated when their value changes. Net worth sits next to budgets, debt, and goals so you can see what moved the number.

Yes. Assign categories, build budgets, and use transaction rules to auto-categorize recurring merchants. Set up 50/30/20, zero-based envelopes, or custom categories. The same categories power budget limits, transaction review, and the short queue of uncategorized items that needs a human pass.

Yes. Add wallet addresses or supported exchange holdings to track balances alongside stocks, cash, and property in one portfolio and net worth view. Tracking is read-only: Nethaven never asks for private keys or seed phrases and never takes custody. For unsupported assets, record them as manual entries.

Brokerages connect through SnapTrade, which handles sign-in securely, and your credentials are not stored in Nethaven. Holdings, balances, and position values sync automatically where supported. The connection is read-only: we display what you hold, we don't place trades. Unsupported brokerages can be tracked manually.

Can I share finances with a partner or household?

Yes. Send an invitation code so others can join a shared budget and see the same accounts. Everyone signs in with their own login, so no one shares a password. Connected accounts from each member roll up into the household view, while each person controls which personal accounts to link. Removing a member is one step in household settings.

Coverage depends on region. When you connect an account, you'll see the banks and brokerages available to you. US and Canada major institutions are generally supported for banks and brokerages, with additional regions where supported. If yours isn't listed, track it manually. Budgets, net worth, and goals still work either way.

Nethaven is available worldwide on the App Store and Google Play. Connectable banks and brokerages depend on supported coverage in your country, so coverage is strongest in the US and Canada. Manual tracking, budgets, debts, goals, subscriptions, and crypto tracking work everywhere.

Do I need to install anything to use the web app?

No. Open the web app in any modern browser and sign in. The web app is designed for things that benefit from a bigger screen, like dashboards, transaction review, and reports, while mobile handles day-to-day entries and notifications.

Is there a free trial of Nethaven Pro?

Where available, Nethaven offers a free trial so you can try the full app before subscribing. When the trial ends, you'll need an active Nethaven Pro subscription to continue using the app. If you subscribe, you can cancel anytime and keep Pro through the end of the current billing period.

Which billing cycle is cheapest?

Accepted Answer

The yearly plan is the cheapest on a per-month basis, and the monthly plan is the most flexible if you don't want to commit to a longer term. Apple and Google set the final regional prices; the App Store or Google Play listing for your account shows the exact amounts in your local currency.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not Nethaven. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nethaven → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nethaven → Cancel. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period, after which an active subscription is required to keep using the app. Your data is retained so you can resubscribe anytime.

Can I get a refund?

Refund policy is set by Apple and Google. Request a refund through the App Store (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (support.google.com/googleplay). We can help you find the right path, but the store that processed the payment issues the refund.

What does Nethaven do with my data?

Accepted Answer

We use your data to operate the product: sync accounts, show transactions, build budgets, calculate net worth, and run the features you turn on. We don't sell personal data, run advertising, or share with data brokers. First-party analytics (Vexo and Firebase Crashlytics) keeps the product reliable and can be disabled in Privacy Settings. Does Nethaven track me across other apps?

Accepted Answer

No. Nethaven doesn't use advertising identifiers like IDFA, doesn't link our data with third-party data for advertising, and doesn't share with data brokers. Because we don't track as defined by Apple's ATT framework, the iOS app doesn't show an ATT prompt. First-party analytics can be disabled in Privacy Settings.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Export transactions, accounts, budgets, and portfolio entries in common formats from in-app settings. The export is portable, so you can open it in a spreadsheet or import it into another tool. Contact support if you need help with a specific export.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Request deletion in Settings → Delete Account. It removes the account and the financial data tied to it, with limited exceptions where we must keep records for legal or compliance reasons. If you can't access the app, email support@nethaven.app and we'll process it once identity is verified.

Is Nethaven investment advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Nethaven is an organizational and analytics tool for your own financial data. It doesn't provide legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset. For tailored advice, work with a licensed professional.
